Weight Loss Thin Vs. Fat

When you lose a lot of weight, you can't keep eating the same amount of food and expect to continue losing weight. The smaller you are the less calories you need. I am just bringing light to this issue…..

I probably have a 2500 calorie diet and when i try to go back to 2000, i feel very wierd

apropo0 @ 9:29 am

thanks for sharing your thoughts. you make me smile.

This only applies to people eating too few calories (bellow starvation limit). If you do it right it won't happen.

MrRight41 @ 9:29 am

Makes sense… I too love to eat, and thats the hardest thing to overcome!

sushicatny @ 9:29 am

I agree

Be careful if you decide to drop your calories. I am now trying to get my body used to 2000 calories again. When your body gets used to lower calories your body will adjust and you cannot eat as much without gaining weight. You have done a great job getting your body used to high calories and still maintain a good weight. If I was where you are with your weight and calories I would workout a little more to lose weight but keep my body used to higher calories.

Do the reverse math and you will find out she has had a 998 kcal per day deficit. My average so far (we started at the same day) is 1497, but I started at a far higher weight (and therefor burn alot more calories). It is very doable even with very little exercise.

Compare those to Antishay, she had from she started to goal a deficit of about 200, kcal per day but she still made it.

So, she is losing weight even though she is eating 2500 kcal per day, nothing to lol about at all.

If anyone wants to eat more without gaining fat… they need more muscle to burn the calories. Hello strength training :)

8ways2love @ 9:29 am

All this is really basic math that everyone should know before they start counting their calories.

No wonder you're not losing weight, you're eating 2500 calories. lol.
Unless you're extremely active, you cant lose weight eating 2500 cals a day.
Like if you're burning 1000 cals at the gym or something.

RubberWilbur @ 9:29 am

Studies have estimated that for each pound of muscle that you add to your body, you burn an additional 35 to 50 calories per day. So, an extra 10 pounds of muscle will burn approximately 350 to 500 calories a day, or an extra pound of fat every 7 to 10 days, without making any other changes. In another study, researchers found that regular weight training boosts basal metabolic rate by about 15%.

whisperingdragon33 @ 9:29 am

this is making me hungry!!

liplylips @ 9:29 am

i prefer to eat hehe

rachellefromcali @ 9:29 am

if you work out vigoursly 1.5 hours a day you can burn 1000 extra calories…. but keep in mind we all burn a certain amount according to our body types. I burn about 1600 naturally….. I work out to eat :-) LOL ha. but most days I don't eat 2500 that is actually alot of food.

zazammweightloss @ 9:29 am

Just to be sure I am understanding this all correctly. You lost all this weight & ate about 2,500 calories a day?! And exercised enough to burn about 1,000 calories a day? If I am correct in my understanding, please tell us what exercise and time burns 1,000 calories daily. I am not disbelieving you - I am IMPRESSED and want to be sure I am fully understanding this. You lost weight the way we all dream of losing it - lol enjoying food ;)

WholeWheatSandwich @ 9:29 am

WOW! 1,000 calories is awesome.
I only burn about 375 per day :(
I've got to get my butt into gear!
You're awesome. Keep doing
your thing. <3

urgeiss0real @ 9:29 am

At 140 lbs, you need to take in somewhere in the range of 1400-1700 cals a day (after exercising). So, right now if you're eating 2500 and burning 1000, you're doing fine to maintain your weight… So, you're going to need to either work out more or eat less. Honestly, though… 2500 is a substantial amount of calories. If you cut 500 a day, you should lose about 1lb a week (1 lb = 3500 calories). It may seem tough, but when you get down to 110, you really wont need that many calories.

Imskinnyinside @ 9:29 am

That's awesome. I never have time for more than 600 or so.

Natalie576 @ 9:29 am

Thanks Sharon!

sushicatny @ 9:29 am

1000

Imskinnyinside @ 9:29 am

How much do you burn a day?

glamaura @ 9:29 am

thats a good point.. not something i need to look at for me at the min but i totally understand this will happen as i get lighter.. even dropping a couple of hundred calories will make all the difference :) take care.. and keep up the fab work..
