I lost and kept off 40 lbs on a low carb diet, so it does work. I used to weigh 240 as a kid, had two boys and maintain 195-200. BUT you have to be very strict in the beginning to get the results you want. The whole 2 week no carb jumpstart does work if you dont cheat. If you eat a lot but dont eat sugar your body eats your fat. But if you eat sugar after you’ve piled up on low/no carb calories you’ll gain weight. working out helps either way because it will help you get faster results.

@KIM4keepitmovin calories in/out is one of the biggest misconceptions about dieting. its not that simple at all.

@robert91897 I disagree. By following these guidelines, i have reduced BODY FAT by 15% and lost forty pounds in five months. Don’t let frustration keep you from trying something new. good luck to you

i don’t know if i agree with you…working out is not usually used simply to burn fat, it is mostly used to gain muscle. if your body does crave food after you run, the runner just needs to make sure that they eat something healthy after the run because according to your video, the next week even if that person doesn’t run they all crave that healthy food they ate….this could help them change their lifestyle.

LOL yea seriously, he didnt have to swear, to me swearing when expressing yourself is a sign of insecurity imho. if your point is valid, there is no need to get so profane and defensive.
FYI your “big size” is so tiny! xD
    you have excellent genetics

Induction is mostly water weight lost, no fat. Atkins is 20 carbs/day and can be continued for as long as you like with no studies concluding it causes harm. The glycogen release water stores, which is where all of the weight is lost for the first few weeks of a low carb plan like Atkins. Ketosis is NOT dangerous, but ketoacidosis (which is what most people confuse low carb lifestyles and/or ketosis with) is. Research everything before you do it. :) Good luck everyone, I wish you all health.

@prettiegirl07 You hit the nail on the head! What’s the point of being thin if you can’t walk (let alone run) up a flight of stairs w/o getting winded. Processed foods are the reason Americans are so overweight now.
