Fruit Juice! A Recipe for Weight Gain!

www.undergroundwellness.com Sean Croxton of Underground Wellness discusses fruit juice. The effects of fruit juice on the human body has been understated. Fructose is the most pro-diabetic sugar, causing insulin resistance! However, doctors seem unaware of this scientific fact.

I agree with you however I would have talked more about fiber and the current daily amount being so low because those big corporations you just ohhh so love found that things cook faster and last longer. Which opens up a global markit and creates fast food. I would have also added that fructose is in sucrose (table sugar) as well. I like where your going I really do but i dunno just cretiquing something thats already good. I give ya an A+

mensacyclist @ 5:33 am

Yes juice is crap. Your videos are great and you have been right on target in every video I have watched so far. But……there is no such thing as "blood fructose". All sugars are converted to glucose in the body. The problem with juice (as you mentioned) is that it is incredibly concentrated. A SMALL glass of orange juice contains the juice of 5 or more oranges (and what American drinks a SMALL glass of anything?) Drinking juice is no different then drinking soda.

Great Video, keep up the good work!

911truthseekers @ 5:33 am

first you must understand who makes the rule of the 100 percent, 2nd, key question is it RAW, 3rd are there additives? 4th are there preservatives, 5th are there added sugar? 6th what kind of sugars are they 7th do you know how to play the game of Affective Selling?? You Must know how to fool people!

mariwanaman @ 5:33 am

but sean its like 100% vitamin c how is it bad!?

I thought for sure that fruit juice isn't a health beverage. There are many juices out there that say, "100% juice" and "No sugar added". It may be 100% juice and have no sugar added or one of the two, but it's still not a health beverage. I rarely drink any fruit juice because it's nothing but processed sugar. There is even organic fruit juice, but it's still junk. Water is the stuff to drink when you're thirsty. Especially fresh, crisp, pure artesian water.

deadleg22 @ 5:33 am

probably. anything ending in 'ose' is a sugar

iaretotalsykow @ 5:33 am

does lactose impact on blood sugar the same way?

i know it sounds like a stupid question but it doesnt impact on teeth the same way as glucose and fructose

heenie @ 5:33 am

Hey Sean! Great vids!!
how about carrot juice?
I'm making a nutrition plan in which the main sources of information for doing so are you and Bruce Lee!
He advocated to get your own juicer. One recipe he had was to make a cup of juice (1/2 of it from carrots, 1/3 from apples, and the rest from celery with a tiny bit of parsley). What's your opinion about this??
Should I cut out the apples? or would a third of a cup per day not hurt?

erver101 @ 5:33 am

How come you said the exact same thing as Paul Chek?

koberaven @ 5:33 am

Quite banging for Juice. Put down the J.
haha

Water is the shit!

Faithless722 @ 5:33 am

If you can get fresh juice from a juicer say, that's ideal.
Personally I'll buy a thing of tropicana orange juice every now and then. Moderation is the key, you just need to be aware of your sugar consumption and try to stay away from the really bad sugars i.e the refined ones.
Green tea is good and you can get it in different flavors. Buy fair trade if you can ;)
If you can find it Celestial Seasoning is a good brand.

XxPnuemaxX @ 5:33 am

Can't drink milk. Juice. Coffee. Soda. Diet soda. Somebody shoot me if I can't drink anything but water.

pksmb1120 @ 5:33 am

too much of anything is bad for you, even water! I've never really cared much for fruit juice. If anything I'll RARELY have a small 8oz soda maybe once or twice a month, and ONLY if it has the pure cane sugar since it's not as bad as HFCS. Other than that all I ever drink is water, tea, and organic milk (wished we could get the raw stuff but we can't).

frankv789 @ 5:33 am

ummm yeah it's called the sun imbecile. "sun dried" raisins. geesh

RSX250 @ 5:33 am

Do you know anything as to how long it takes for the human body to evolve? We evolved over millions of years eating a paleolithic diet. All this shit like bread, sugars, trans fats, dairy products, were introduced within 10 000 years. Not enough time to adapt.

RSX250 @ 5:33 am

ya cause our ancestors had a food drier with em…

frankv789 @ 5:33 am

you can't save fruit???

really? then what the hell are raisins? You can dry fruit.

donnyab @ 5:33 am

Just one question, where do you think your body evolved from. We didn't just arrive on this planet yesterday, we evolved in a world full of fruits/berries/nuts/ and all types of plants which we have now stopped eating…and the dreaded eggs !
So he is talking total sense.

lumberjak1984 @ 5:33 am

he couldnt of said it any better, yea fruits r good but there sweet, y?? obviously they have sugar, now to much sugar isnt good!! so he makes sense: if u eat to much fruit or jus a lil n u might crash or whatever…yea then mix it up wit a lil fat substance lil carbohydrate whatever, thats how my body woeks at least peeeeeeeeeeeaace!!!!!!

gxxr1130 @ 5:33 am

I think you need to better and sooner draw the distinction between juicing (making your own juice) and Juicy Juice, Gatorade, and all the fake juice out there.

gxxr1130 @ 5:33 am

True that

typeclash @ 5:33 am

??? at 3:10 You don't think people new how to preserv fruit? Can't we all just stop using these semi-retarded-scientific parallels to the stone age as proof for our thesis.

waynebw @ 5:33 am

Agreed!
