@Bacchante All I’m saying is when it comes to losing weight the calorie is king. I’m not saying that the food is poorly man made, and doesn’t trigger your ‘full feelings’ I know that real food is superior to artificial junk. But regardless if you eat an organic diet, from an expensive store, or a commercial place like Ralphs, all that matters is calories for fat.

This a very clear introduction and I will pass it on to others. Thank you kindly!

@kurruptz TOTTALY wrong!! calories have nothing to do with weight!! Hormones To Matter when Its About Weight Gain/Loss! If u dont Belive me PLEASE watch the video by Zoe Harcombe about Calories, Energy Balance, Thermodynamics and Weight Loss here on utube.. on here website u can see the whole 1hr presentation!! All the best!!

I didn’t realise how feeding them grain is basically like a form of animal abuse. Truly unfair. As if it’s not enough that we raise and massacre them en masse for consumption with hardly a care, but we can’t even feed them correctly before the end of it all. Sad.

  5. chiyerano Says:

The things mentioned in this video remind me of why it’s not good to breed animals for food on large scale factory farms.

    very informative, thanks!

  7. LennonPeartDawkins Says:

@kurruptz You are COMPLETELY wrong, and misleading people. INSULIN spikes are what cause FAT gain. What casue insulin spikes? Refined sugars and flower. Salmon for example is NOT a low calorie food. SALMON WILL NOT cause your body to store fat! NO MATTER HOW MANY calories from Salmon you eat.

  8. Killerwhalepat Says:

@mokugin81 spoken like a true fat person

  9. kurruptz Says:

@LennonPeartDawkins After meals, fat is depositied with the help of insulin. However, between meals and during sleep, fat is lost. Fat balance will be zero over a 24-hour period if energy intake matches energy expenditure. Sorry but you’ve been fed a myth about insulin. In fact, protein is also a potent insulin stimulator. In fact, the only insulin sensitive diet is low carb, low protein, high fat. But no one dares to use that for obvious reasons.

  10. kurruptz Says:

@LennonPeartDawkins The problem with refined sugars, is that they are high in calories and do not offer any level of satiety. Did you see that? High in calories. Are we seeing a trend? By the way, you can overeat on salmon, it’s just unlikely because it is a very satisfying food. Also, you should Google “insulin response to protein”. Weight loss/gain follows basic physics principals.
Enlighten yourself. Calories in < Calories out.

  11. mokugin81 Says:

@kurruptz Ok if it all about calories in vs out.. can u prove it? whats the science behind it? If u ask a dietitian why they say eat less and do more they say its the lows of the universe, Thermodynamics.. But None Of em say eat less and do more! the 1St low says: In a Close System Energy cant be created or destroyed it shall be conserved!! The Body is Not a clesed system!!

  12. mokugin81 Says:

@kurruptz the 2nd low says: if u r not in a close system Energy will be lost and energy will be used in making available energy!! Even those idiots from weight watchers now say a calorie is not a calorie.. 2010 pro-points.. but u r right about high protein eating risk

  13. mokugin81 Says:

@kurruptz i guess u belive 1lb of fat=3500 calories so everytime u create that energy deficit u lost 1lb! ok.. where does this formula come from?is it provable?why 3500 and not 2700 or 3000 or 4000?does our body follow this formula anytime, age, sex, weight to loose, gender, medication taken, medical conditions,etc..? u know a maths formula must apply the same to everybody, isnt it?

  14. mokugin81 Says:

@Killerwhalepat Thanks for your “lovely comment”.. did u watch the video i did mention? we are here to make comments about this topic,fo share what we have learnt with our experience, what we know.. not to comment about eachother body shape! but hey i might be fat..im trying to copy u!! have a fab day buddy!!

  15. LennonPeartDawkins Says:

@kurruptz WRONG, and misleading. Protein does create an Insulin spike, refined sugars and flour create an ABNORMAL insulin spike. Staying in the NORMAL range of insulin spike is ideal for preventing FAT gain. Calorie counting/portion control is pointless. UNLESS you refuse to avoid grains and sugar. Now you SHOULD minimize consumption of grain fed meats, but grass-fed or even better wild game should be ENJOYED, without worry of portion.

  16. kurruptz Says:

@LennonPeartDawkins It’s funny how you met a contradiction and decide to ignore it. You said it yourself, insulin restricts fat burning, protein causes insulin spike, so neither carbohydrates, nor protein is the problem. The problem is an excess of calories. You cannot diet unless you count calories or control portions. I’d love to know how you came upon the conclusion that grains or sugar is bad. Really. What fad diet did you read that from? Don’t tell me your doing a low carb diet.

  17. kurruptz Says:

@LennonPeartDawkins Any insulin prevents fat burning. If i eat 1800 calories from sugary cereals, ice cream, and potatoes. versus eating 2000 calories from grass-fed wild game or whatever, you will have a surplus of 200 calories thus gain weight more so than 1800 calorie diet. Now you grouping grains with sugars? You are so lost it’s really comical. You live in a fantasy world if you can afford to buy grass-fed beef. And in that fantasy, insulin makes you fat.

  18. ThisIsNotPictureTube Says:

why do i keep hearing a mouse being clicked? :-/

  19. LennonPeartDawkins Says:

@kurruptz WOW, you are soooo mis-informed I’m beginning to think you are a troll. Look up the Inuit diet. These people eat NOTHING but whale, seal, walrus, blubber, caribou, fish (all VERY high calorie) and ocasional wild berries. They have NO history of heart disease and definately NO obesity. The CORRECT way to eat is to eat NATURALLY the way we evolved to eat, if we eat Naturally NO calorie counting necessary.

  20. mokugin81 Says:

@LennonPeartDawkins Yes that guy is pretty much mis-informed.. but can we really blame him!? Goverment agencies that offer diet advice tell us the same:eat less,do more, base meals on starchy foods, eat low fat and avoid saturated ones, eat 5a day, avoid foods with cholesterol, and loads of other BS!! its really hard to stop this diet myths being belived as real! but u and me and others are one the right side! all the best!!

  21. mokugin81 Says:

Its Really Important We All Try To Buy Eggs,Meat,Veggies and Fruits From Our Local Farmers Markets! Those Guys Need Our Money To Keep Raising Animals In The Natural Way,out Grasing In The Grass!! Supermarkets Do Not Need Our Money!! We Must Support Local Farmers Market Befor Goverments Put Them Out Of Business!! All The Best!! Eat Real Food Only!! Stop Waisting Your Money Buying Processed Foods and Making The Food Industry Richer! They Do Not Need Our Money!!

  22. sarahfight Says:

@mokugin81 It’s true, all the so called lastest scientific findings are just BS, and they change all the time!!I believe our bodies know the best. Just like what the lady mentioned in the vid, when cows are fed in grain, not grass, they get sick. Which means, when we get sick more often, we know there is something wrong with our diet as well. Just avoid artificial flavours, so our senses are not harmed. Then the body will tell you what’s for you.

  23. mokugin81 Says:

@sarahfight hey thanks for your comment!! normally i get nasty comments back almost anywhere i do leave comments.. well yes loads of the science we read about is based on conflict of interess and not real good science!! the conflict of interess in the diet industry is HUGE!! how can we really trust dietitians from goverment agencies when theirs sponsors are people like Kellogs, General Mills, Coke, Flora, drug companies,etc..!?

  24. astrialkil Says:

@mokugin81 So we should go back to the 1800′s diet and dump processed foods and add nutritional supplements.

  25. astrialkil Says:

@mokugin81 I just love how people think that if your fat you must not be intelligent. like we are to all be cookie cutter ginger bread men! Soon all those skinny people will starve to death and the fatty’s will be the only ones left. their ancestor’s had slow metabolisms to get threw the long cold spring after their winter stocks had been eaten up. In the spring there is only green leafy vegetables like dandy lion’s and young Russian thistle , Every thing else has not sprouted yet.
