Do easier versions of the push up.

Doing 10 pushups between each exercise = 80 pushups. I find that a bit much for beginners, I am only 160 lbs and want to lose the belly fat and find it difficult just doing the slow version. Guess I'll get stronger as I go.

Not really, we just put up stupid work out, because we feel like it and fool people into doing them and getting fatter.
